Antoine Naoum

Antoine Naoum is currently a Hospitality Expert in Montreal. Antoine was the the Group Director of Development at Safir International Hotel Management and the General Manager of Safir Marina Hotel, Kuwait, KIPCO group affiliation. Previously, he has opened the Holiday Inn Kuwait and the Wataniya Resort. He was in Kuwait between 2000 and 2010 and a CCC member since 2001, served as President during 2007/8/9 . In 1982, He graduated in Hotel Management from the Scuola Internazionale di Scienze Turistiche, Rom/Italy. He is educated in French, English, Italian and Arabic. Gathered over 25 years of International Experience in the Hospitality Industry, adding to that his experience with the Protocol Department.

Guido D'Argensio

Guido came in Kuwait in 1998 and was the last CCC founding members in Kuwait. He was born in Montreal Canada, educated in French, English & Italian, and has obtained an MBA and CA certification.

 Guido was an active partner in two firms in Kuwait: Al Zoba Co W.L.L., general trading company, established in 1989, specialized as contractor/vendor with US military in the Gulf & Middle-East, including Iraq (www.alzoba.com) and also our affiliate company Envirotech Middle East (www.envirotechme.com) Global Consultants, Financial, Management, Industrial Consulting and Training, affiliated to Baker Tilly International (www.gckw.com). He has now retired and left Kuwait.

 

Denis Thibault

 

 

Mr. Denis Thibault was born in Montréal and studied law at the University of Sherbrooke. In 1974 he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was assigned in succession to Madrid, San Juan, Atlanta and Tunis. In 1986 he was named Counsellor (Commercial and Economic) at the Embassy of Canada in Buenos Aires. In 1990 he took up the position as Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Embassy of Canada in Caracas.

 

Mr. Thibault returned to the Ministry in Ottawa in 1993 as Director of Commercial Affairs for Latin America and the Antilles. In 1995 he was appointed Minister Counsellor (Commercial and Economic Affairs) at the Embassy of Canada in Mexico. He was named Ambassador of Canada to Costa Rica with accreditation to Honduras and Nicaragua in September 1998. He became Ambassador of Canada to the Republic of Senegal, with accreditation to the Republics of Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Mauritania in September 2001. He took his position as Ambassador of Canada to Kuwait, with accreditation to Qatar, in September, 2004 and retired from the Foreign Service in October 2008.

 

Mr. Thibault lives presently in Spain.

Tim Marchand

Geologist by profession, Tim was educated at TrinityCollege, Dublin, the Universite de Louvain, and the University of Western Ontario. He graduated with a Ph.D in geology in 1978.

 He joined the oil industry in 1980 in Calgary, Alberta and learnt the business while working in Western Canada, the Northwest Territories, the Beaufort Sea and the offshore East Coast of Canada. Recent assignments have seen him living and working in Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Abu Dhabi, UAE. In 2003 he moved to Kuwait to lead BP’s operations in the country.  In May 2007 he was appointed BP’s Vice President Middle East with responsibility for the countries of the Northern Gulf and the Levant, based in Kuwait.

Tim played a key role as an active member to the CCC development. He completed his assignment in Kuwait in 2009 and currently resides in Calgary, Alberta where he is Associate Professor of Energy and Geopolitics at the University of Calgary.

Richard Mann

Richard (Rick) Mann had a long and successful career with the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, including assignments as Minister-Counsellor (Commercial) at the Canadian Embassy in Moscow, Ambassador to Kazakhstan, and five years as Ambassador to Kuwait and Qatar (1999 to 2004).  On retirement from the foreign service, Mr. Mann subsequently was Director-General of the Canada-Arab Business Council in Toronto, where he worked actively to promote Canada-Kuwait business relations, completing his assignment there in 2009.  Mr. Mann presently resides in Ottawa, Ontario.

Ali Noor

Ali Noor
