F.A.Q.

Who can join the CCC?

All Canadian citizens resident in Kuwait can join the CCC.  Associate membership is available to citizens of other countries who are residents of the State of Kuwait and represent Canadian business interests in the State of Kuwait, or who in the view of the Committee have established or are interested in establishing a connection with Canada or Canadian business interests.  Corporate membership can be arranged with the executive.

How do I join?

If you know a member ask him/her to sponsor you by communicating with any member of the executive or by filling our online application here.  If not simply get in touch with any member of the executive or click here to get in touch with us.

What does the CCC do?

The CCC provides an opportunity for members to network with each other and has a programme of lectures on various subjects of interest to members.  The focal point of the CCC’s activities is the Monthly meeting.

When does the CCC meet?

Meetings of the CCC are normally the last Tuesday of each month except in February when it may be moved if it clashes with National or Liberation day holidays.  Special activities are often organized in the summer months of July and August and in December.

What happens at the meeting?

Except for special events which have a different agenda and purpose the monthly meeting is set around an informative talk followed by a question period. This typically lasts 30-60 minutes and is followed by a networking session with quality finger buffet where members and guests can network among themselves and with the speaker.  Food is free to members and guests and refreshments are available at a cost of 1KD per serving.

Can I bring guests?

Given the popularity of the CCC we currently limit guests to one per member and each must be registered in advance and met at the door.

I am not certain that I want to join- can I give it a try?

Any member or one of the Executive members will gladly have prospective new members as a guest at one of the meetings.  The guest fee is KD5 payable at the door and attendance must be pre-arranged with the executive members.

How do I find out about the CCC?

The CCC aims to make all relevant information available on its website.  Interested parties should also feel free to approach Executive members with any enquiry.

 What is the membership year?

Membership runs from April to April the following year and members must renew in advance or at the Annual General meeting to be entitled to vote. New members who join from the January meeting are entitled to membership until the following April, enjoying the opportunity to benefit from up to 15 months membership.  No other prorate arrangement is possible.

How much does membership cost?

Individual membership currently costs KD25 for a year and married couples may join for a fee of KD35.
